Bakersfield, CA – One Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident Hwy 14

Bakersfield, CA (February 18, 2024) – One person lost their life as a result of a two-vehicle accident that occurred Friday afternoon just outside of Mojave. The California Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the accident at around 330 p.m. on February 16.

Crash investigations indicate that a 2018 Mitsubishi sedan was heading south on California State Route 14. As the vehicle attempted to make a left turn into the Statler Brothers parking lot, it collided with an Infiniti sedan. One person involved in the accident, identified as an 84-year-old man, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Neither driver involved in the accident sustained any injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
