Oxnard, CA – Josefina Romo Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Oxnard Blvd
Oxnard, CA (May 11, 2024) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Oxnard area claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred at around 5:20 a.m. on Friday, May 10.
Official reports indicate that a pedestrian was attempting to cross the street in a marked crosswalk near the intersection of Oxnard Boulevard and Rose Avenue during the early morning hours. For unknown reasons, she was struck by a 2002 Ford F1 50 pickup truck, which was traveling southbound. The pedestrian, identified as 67-year-old Josefina Romo, was fatally injured in the crash. She was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. The driver of the pickup, a 58-year-old man, remained at the scene. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
