Hesperia, CA - Rosa Saucedo-Negrete Loses Life in Mariposa Rd Crash

Hesperia, CA (February 22, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in his spare area that claimed the life of 59-year-old Rosa Saucedo-Negrete. The accident occurred at around 3:40 p.m. on February 20.

Reports provided by authorities show that 45-year-old Pavlo Padilla was driving a black 2016 Chevrolet Suburban north on Mariposa Road. For unknown reasons, his vehicle collided with a blue 2005 Toyota Corolla near Mesquite Street.

The driver of the Toyota, 58-year-old Pedro Valencia-Perez, and his passenger, 22-year-old Jose Valencia-Saucedo, were both pronounced deceased on-site by responding authorities. One additional victim, identified as Saucedo-Negrete, was rushed to an area trauma center, where she passed away from her injuries.

Another victim, 21-year-old Francisco Valencia-Saucedo, was rushed to an area hospital and admitted in critical condition. Padilla was treated for serious injuries and taken into police custody, where he faces charges of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and suspicion of DUI causing injury or death. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
