Bakersfield, CA – Woman Killed in Pioneer Dr Crash at Dennison Ln
Bakersfield, CA (February 21, 2024) – A fatal accident reported in the Bakersfield area claimed one woman’s life. The accident was reported to the California Highway Patrol at approximately 130 a.m. on February 17.
According to reports, 33-year-old Gabriel Coronel was driving a 2017 Chevrolet West on Pioneer Drive. For unknown reasons, his vehicle veered into the opposite lane of travel and struck a 2015 Honda, which was traveling eastbound and driven by 29-year-old Brayden Aragon. A passenger in the Honda was pronounced deceased at the scene due to her injuries. Two other people in the vehicle were transported to Kern Medical for emergency care. Coronel was arrested and is currently facing charges of felony DUI causing injury and felony gross vehicle or manslaughter. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
