Bakersfield, CA – Woman Fatally Struck on Cottonwood Rd
Bakersfield, CA (March 16, 2024) – A female pedestrian lost her life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred in Bakersfield on Thursday evening, March 14. The Bakersfield Police Department was called to the scene of the incident at around 7:50 p.m.
According to official reports, a woman was walking in the 4700 block of Cottonwood Road during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, a pickup truck struck her in the area near East Pacheco Road. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the victim with severe injuries. Despite medical efforts, she died from her injuries while at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on site and suffered no injuries. The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating.
