Bakersfield, CA – Sean Stewart Killed in Hwy 178 Crash
Bakersfield, CA (April 30, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that claimed one man’s life on Saturday morning, April 27. The collision was reported at around 10:30 a.m.
According to reports from local news sources, a Subaru was traveling east on Highway 178 during the morning hours. At the same time, a Toyota was traveling westbound on the same roadway. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided head-on. One person involved in the accident, identified as 42-year-old Sean Gordon Stewart, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 59-year-old, a 21-year-old, and a 23-year-old all suffered injuries in the accident. The three victims were transported to Kern Medical for emergency care. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
