Bakersfield, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Hwy 58 Accident at Brandt Rd
Bakersfield, CA (February 25, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Friday afternoon claimed one person’s life. The California Highway Patrol troopers were notified of the incident just before 3:00 p.m. on February 23.
According to official reports, a motorcycle and a Dodge pickup truck collided on Highway 58 near Bryant Road. The incident prompted the closure of the highway as the California Highway Patrol troopers assisted. Medical personnel responded to the scene of the accident to care for the injured victims. The motorcyclist, who has not been publicly identified, was fatally injured in the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the California Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the crash.
