Riverside, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash at I-215 & MLK Blvd Takes One Life
Riverside, CA (February 12, 2024) – On Monday morning, a multi-vehicle accident reported in Riverside claimed one person’s life. The Riverside Police and Fire Department received a notification of the collision at around 2:20 a.m. on February 12.
According to agency reports, five sedans collided on the southbound side of Interstate 215. The incident impacted the middle lanes of the freeway, causing severe delays in the area just south of MLK Boulevard. Emergency officials rushed to the scene and began to remove debris that was scattered across the lanes of the road. One person suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Medical personnel tended to the injured victims before transporting those in need of further medical care to area hospitals. The Riverside Police Department and Riverside Fire Department remained at the scene extensively as they worked to clear the road. Authorities confirmed that the roadway did not open until after 9:00 a.m. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.
