Matthew Hillix is a dedicated trial lawyer who prides himself on advocating for injured victims and protecting their rights to just compensation. Over the course of his career, he has successfully recovered tens of millions of dollars in insurance proceeds for clients, helping them rebuild their lives after experiencing a wide range of injuries and losses.
Education and Legal Beginnings
In 2010, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California, San Diego. Matthew scored in the 95th percentile on his Law School Admissions Test. However, before deciding to dedicate his life to the practice of law, he wanted to gain real-world experience in the legal field. In 2011, he began working with Edward Lee as a legal assistant and was inspired to help the injured fight for the compensation they deserve.
Matthew attended Loyola Law School and earned his Juris Doctorate in 2015, graduating with honors. He also completed Loyola Law School’s Civil Litigation and Advocacy Concentration Program; a comprehensive program of Loyola’s Advocacy Institute designed to set the students who complete the program apart in lawyering skills training. He also participated in Scott Moot Court, Loyola’s Appellate Advocacy competition, and received the award for Best Brief. Matthew’s background has empowered him to skillfully navigate through each phase of civil litigation while serving his clients’ best interests.

He has extensive experience litigating truck crash cases and personal injury cases, ranging from catastrophic injuries to less severe soft tissue injuries.

On his free time, Matthew enjoys watching Lakers games, hiking, and spending time with his wife and their dog.
