Car Accidents in California
Car accidents are a frequent occurrence in California, often the result of reckless or careless driving. Surprisingly, over 90 percent of vehicle collisions are caused by human error. When drivers fail to handle their vehicles responsibly, it can lead to serious crashes, leaving those involved with injuries that can have a lasting impact. Some of the most severe injuries commonly seen in car accidents include:
- Sprains and Strains: These injuries occur when muscles or ligaments are overstretched or torn, causing significant pain, swelling, and limited mobility. Recovery often involves rest, physical therapy, and sometimes additional treatment for full healing.
- Head Injuries: Serious injuries such as traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), concussions, and skull fractures are common in car accidents. These injuries require immediate medical attention and ongoing monitoring to prevent long-term complications and ensure proper recovery.
- Broken Bones: The force of a collision can cause broken bones, which may require surgery, the use of casts, or physical therapy to heal correctly. In more severe cases, these injuries can take months to recover from and may involve long-term rehabilitation.
