Delano, CA – Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Pond Rd at Wallace Rd
Delano, CA (March 15, 2024) – A man lost his life as a result of a pedestrian accident that occurred in the Delano area on Thursday morning, March 14. The California Highway Patrol troopers and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident just before 6:40 a.m.
According to law enforcement reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Pond Road in the area near Wallace Road. Authorities determined that a Nissan Sentra, driven by a 36-year-old man, was traveling west on Pond Road at 55 miles per hour. As the vehicle approached Wallace Road, it struck a pedestrian who was walking on the southbound side of the roadway. The male pedestrian, who has not been identified, was fatally injured in the crash. The victim was pronounced deceased while at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
