Bakersfield, CA (August 23, 2024) – A pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Bakersfield area on Friday morning, August 23.

At around 4:30 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Burr Street, near Gibson Street. The involved vehicle fled the scene of the crash without stopping.
