Bakersfield, CA – One Killed in Big Rig Wreck on Hwy 65 near Hwy 155
Bakersfield, CA (March 2, 2024) – A fatal truck accident reported on Friday in Bakersfield claimed one person’s life. The California Highway Patrol and firefighters were dispatched to the crash site at around 5:30 p.m. on March 1.
Preliminary investigations show that a big rig was traveling in the area of Highway 65 and Highway 155 during the evening hours when it collided with a car. The impact of the crash caused the truck to go off the roadway. The vehicle continued approximately 50 feet down an embankment before coming to a stop. One person involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the County coroner. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.
