Bakersfield, CA – One Hurt in DUI Car Crash on Madison St

Bakersfield, CA (July 5, 2024) – One person was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a motor vehicle accident involving an impaired driver. The collision took place early Thursday evening, July 4.

At around 5:05 p.m., a two-vehicle accident took place in the 1300 block of Madison Street. The California Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to the scene and immediately closed off the roadway. One person involved in the accident was treated at the scene and transported to Kern Medical Center by Antelope Medic 131 for further medical care. Authorities confirmed that impairment was a factor in the accident. However, information surrounding any possible arrests is not known at this time.
