Bakersfield, CA – Four-Vehicle Wreck on Zerker Rd Takes One Life
Bakersfield, CA (February 28, 2024) – One person lost their life as a result of the multi-vehicle accident that occurred in Kern County on Tuesday morning, February 27. Just before 7:00 a.m., the Kern County Fire Department and area law enforcement responded to the scene of an accident on Zerker Road.
According to law enforcement reports, four vehicles collided on the roadway just one mile north of 7th Standard Road. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the scene as they provided assistance. One male victim involved in the accident sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional motorists were transported to area hospitals for further medical care. Five other victims were treated for injuries while at the scene. At this time, the police department is investigating the crash.
