Bakersfield, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Hageman Rd near Calloway Dr

Bakersfield, CA (May 21, 2024) – On Saturday evening, the Bakersfield Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in which one person lost their life.

At around 8:45 p.m. on May 18, calls for help came in regarding a crash that occurred in the 10,000 block of Hageman Road. Reports show that a pedestrian was walking in the area of Hageman Road and Calloway Drive when they were struck by a Toyota, which was traveling eastbound on the roadway. The pedestrian was severely injured as a result of the crash. Despite medical efforts, the victim ended up passing away as a result of their injuries. No other injuries were reported. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
