Riverside, CA – Nicholas Pitcock Killed in Collision on La Sierra Ave

Riverside, CA (January 17, 2025) – A tragic collision involving an electric scooter and a vehicle claimed the life of 40-year-old Nicholas Pitcock on Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities report that the incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of La Sierra Avenue and Spaulding Drive. Nicholas Pitcock, a Riverside resident, was riding an electric scooter southbound in the northbound lanes of La Sierra Avenue when a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old woman struck him head-on.

Emergency medical crews responded quickly to the scene and transported Pitcock to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment. Sadly, he passed away while in the hospital. The driver of the car involved remained at the scene and cooperated fully with law enforcement officials. The Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
