Car Accidents in California
A motor vehicle accident can have a profound and overwhelming impact on your life. Unfortunately, California sees nearly half a million collisions on its roads every year. Many of these accidents are preventable and caused by the negligent and reckless actions of drivers. Innocent people are left to face the devastating consequences. Some of the most common causes of motor vehicle accidents include:
- Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
- Reckless Driving
- Distracted Driving
- Speeding
- Weather Conditions
Tragically, car accident victims often suffer severe injuries that can change their lives forever. Common injuries reported in car crashes include:
- Concussion: A traumatic brain injury caused by a sudden impact, leading to symptoms such as headaches, confusion, and dizziness.
- Internal Bleeding: Often resulting from blunt force trauma, this can be life-threatening and may not be immediately apparent, requiring medical attention to identify and treat.
- Spinal Cord Injuries: These can range from minor to severe, potentially resulting in partial or total paralysis and significantly affecting mobility and quality of life.
- Broken Bones: Fractures are common in accidents, with arms, legs, and ribs often at risk, and they typically necessitate medical intervention for proper healing.
