Lakewood, CA – Bicyclist Loses Life in Crash on E Del Amo Blvd at Norwalk Blvd

Lakewood, CA (September 28, 2024) – A fatal bicycle accident reported in Lakewood claimed one person’s life. The accident took place at around 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning, September 27.

Reports indicate that a driver ran a red light at the intersection of East Del Amo Boulevard in Norwalk Boulevard during the morning hours. As the vehicle proceeded forward, it collided with a bus. The impact of the crash sent the car veering off the side of the roadway, where it collided with a bicyclist who was stationary. The bicyclist was fatally injured in the accident and pronounced deceased by authorities. The Lakewood Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the crash.
