Bakersfield, CA – Jose Lopez Killed in Crash on Hwy 33 at Hanawalt Ave

Bakersfield, CA (September 18, 2024) – Local news sources confirmed that José Lopez was killed as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Lost Hills area on Monday evening, September 16.

Reports show a vehicle and a truck collided at around 6:00 p.m. on Highway 33 near Hanawalt Avenue. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicles at the Wonder Pistachios & Almonds facility. One person involved in the accident, identified as José Lopez, who was a worker at the facility, was fatally injured. He was a passenger in the vehicle that collided with the truck. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
