Car Accidents in California
Car accidents happen daily across California, often leaving victims to deal with serious, life-changing consequences. Sadly, many people suffer from spinal cord injuries, severe fractures, and internal organ damage due to the reckless behavior of some drivers. Several common factors contribute to car accidents throughout the state each year, including:
- Disobeying traffic signals: When drivers run red lights, they significantly increase the risk of colliding with other vehicles. This type of behavior is a leading cause of T-bone accidents at intersections across California.
- Failure to yield: Serious accidents can occur when drivers fail to yield the right of way, whether they are pulling out of driveways, exiting parking lots, or changing lanes. This negligence often results in crashes that cause life-altering injuries, requiring significant medical treatment.
- Impairment: Drivers who get behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol or drugs pose a significant danger to others on the road. Impaired driving increases the risk of losing control and crashing into other vehicles.
- Reckless lane changes: Drivers who switch lanes unpredictably or aggressively risk colliding with other vehicles or losing control of their own, leading to serious accidents that leave victims severely injured.
