Bakersfield, CA – One Killed in Fatal Crash on Ridgecrest Blvd

Bakersfield, CA (July 2, 2024) – One person has lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Bakersfield area on Monday, July 1. The accident occurred at around 12:45 a.m.

According to official reports, a person was riding a scooter east on Ridgecrest Boulevard during the early morning hours. As the vehicle proceeded down the roadway, it was struck by a car. The driver of the car, identified as Thomas Lyster, was not injured in the crash. The person on the scooter was severely hurt in the crash. The victim was subsequently pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
