Bakersfield, CA – Fatal Crash Reported on Hwy 65 near Hwy 155
Bakersfield, CA (May 30, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Bakersfield area claimed one person’s life. The incident occurred at around 6:50 p.m. on May 29.
Reports provided by the California Highway Patrol show that a total of three vehicles collided on Highway 65, just north of Bakersfield. Authorities arrived at the scene and immediately closed down all of the lanes of the roadway just south of Highway 155. At least two people were pinned in their vehicles as a result of the accident and had to be extricated by firefighters. One of the victims was transported to an area hospital for emergency medical care. At least one person was fatally injured in the accident and pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
