Bakersfield, CA – Several Injured in Crash on Copus Rd at I-5
Bakersfield, CA (April 18, 2024) – The California Highway Patrol confirmed that multiple people were injured as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in the Bakersfield area. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident at around 5:25 a.m. on April 17.
Crash reports indicate that a 52-year-old woman was traveling westbound on Copus Road. At the same time, a Toyota Camry, which was driven by a 47-year-old woman, was traveling eastbound on the same roadway. As the driver of the Chevrolet attempted to pass westbound traffic, the two vehicles collided near Interstate 5. Multiple people were injured as a result of the collision. Emergency medical services responded to the scene of the crash to care for the injured victims. Five people in total were transported to Kern Medical for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
