Los Angeles, CA – Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Van Nuys Blvd
Los Angeles, CA (February 26, 2024) – A 29-year-old Hispanic male lost his life as a result of a pedestrian accident that occurred in Pacoima late Saturday evening, February 24.
At around 10:00 p.m., a 70-year-old male was driving a car in the area of Van Nuys Boulevard in Remick Avenue when he struck a man. The vehicle, a Nissan, continued eastbound on the roadway without stopping. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the crash to care for the victim. The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities later located the driver of the vehicle, 70-year-old Arturo Sepulveda Carrera. Sepulveda Carrera was taken to Van Nuys jail for charges of felony hit-and-run. At this time, the incident is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
