Mecca, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Lincoln St
Mecca, CA (February 16, 2024) – A pedestrian lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon, February 14.
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, at around 12:45 p.m., a gray Toyota Camry traveling through the intersection of Lincoln Street and 64th Street struck a pedestrian. The police and firefighters responded to the scene and closed off the roadway just east of Hammond Road and Highway 111. Paramedics requested air ambulance to fly the victim to an area hospital for emergency care. However, the pedestrian ended up passing away as a result of the injuries they suffered. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
