Whittier, CA – 3-Vehicle Truck Accident on 605 Fwy near Peck Rd
Whittier, CA (February 15, 2024) – A multi-vehicle truck accident reported in Whittier on Wednesday ended in injuries. The accident was reported to the California Highway Patrol at approximately 8:40 a.m. on February 14.
Reports provided by the California Highway Patrol indicate that a red Toyota, a white Honda Civic, and a semi-truck tractor-trailer collided on the Interstate 605 Freeway. The incident blocked multiple lanes near Peck Road, prompting authorities to shut down the road. The Toyota driver became trapped in their vehicle but was able to exit through the passenger door. The two sedans involved in the accident were rendered undrivable and had to be towed from the scene. Paramedics responded to the scene of the collision to care for injured parties. Those who required further medical care were transported to local hospitals. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
